The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is a geopolitical and economic organization consisting of the following member countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Yesterday I had attended the opening ceremony of this cultural festival event which was organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in collaboration with the embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Brunei.
The event was enjoyable for the visitors, people mostly from the above countries enjoy their traditional food & dances. Ladies & children seen in the traditional dresses. one thing was that the ambassadors & their wives of ASEAN countries evenly took part in hosting the event.
The guests were served mango ice cream at the stall of the Thai Embassy. The traditional handcrafts of ASEAN countries were on sale but most enjoy were the traditional foods stalls set up by the embassy & citizens of these countries really enjoy the food. Mostly ladies were cooking in these small stands & serving hot meals.
A small variety show was also held with the traditional dances from these countries. video from this event will be shown on our youtube channel.
