More than 160 criminal cases involving children, most of them aged no older than 15, have been dealt with by the authorities over the past year and a half, a top official has revealed.
Attorney General Dr Ali Al Buainain was speaking at the launch of a cybersecurity campaign aimed at protecting children from blackmailers and extortionists online.
‘Himaya’, being organised by the Public Prosecution in co-operation with various ministries, will run until the end of the year, he said during the ceremony at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel Residence and Spa, Manama.
