Bahrain’s Amani Al Obaidli has set a new national record in the women’s 100 metres backstroke at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Amani registered a time of one minute 04.27 seconds while finishing sixth in the second of five heats in her event.
The 18-year-old beat the old Bahrain record of 1:04.34, which she herself held.
