Bahraini fireman Abdulla Albalooshi recently became the first civilian from the kingdom to complete an intensive training at the US Department of Defence (DoD) Fire Academy in Texas, according to a US DoD publication.
Mr Albalooshi, who works at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) base in Bahrain, graduated at the top of class, after completing the gruelling programme at the Louis F Garland Fire Academy in San Angelo.
The academy provides comprehensive training to both military and civilian personnel across all branches of the US Armed Forces, including the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and other organisations.
